Over the past 35 years, Special Learning Center has grown to serve over 900 children each year from 11 Central Missouri counties. We are excited to launch our Small Steps, Mighty Strides Capital Campaign to help bring a larger, more state-of-the-art facility to Central Missouri. Currently, SLC is out of space and several programs have a waiting list. A larger facility will allow us to serve more children and make a greater impact on their lives.
The new Special Learning Center Debbie Hamler campus will include the Mike Bernskoetter Education & Enrichment Center with education classes, childcare program, school age rooms, family support program space and education therapy rooms. The Goldschmidt Pediatric Therapy Center will contain the medical-based, pediatric therapy clinic as well as a gross motor skills gymnasium space.
