Family Support Specialist position available
Special Learning Center (SLC) seeks a Capable Kids and Families Family Support Specialist responsible for initiating and maintaining regular contact with families, primarily through home visits, family events, and coordinating other services.
This specialist position will work as a member of the CKF team to schedule and implement contact with enrolled families, deliver/pick up equipment as needed, coordinate family events and activities, maintain accurate documentation of all services and materials delivered to families, assist in the development and upkeep of the equipment inventory system, plan and implement public awareness activities, order and maintain materials needed for implementation of program, and other duties as assigned.
Successful candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in early childhood, special education, education, psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited college or university and have three to five years of related experience and/or training (two years of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education). Individual must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be computer literate, outgoing, creative, organized, empathetic, resourceful, a self-starter, and professional.
